Professional Recognition with the CMI &
Pathway to Chartered Manager (CMgr)
Individuals having gained appropriate qualification and experience may apply for professional membership status with the Chartered Management Institute as an Associate, Member, or Fellow — each accompanied by the relevant designatory letters.
Associate Member
The entry-level professional membership — recognising your commitment to management and leadership development.
Member
Full membership recognising substantial management experience and knowledge. Those entitled to Member status may progress to Chartered Manager.
Fellow
The highest level of CMI membership, recognising outstanding contribution and achievement. Those entitled to Fellow status may also progress to Chartered Manager.
Chartered Manager
The gold standard for leaders and managers. Open to those with MCMI or FCMI status — the ultimate mark of professional management excellence.

Route to CMI Professional Coach & Mentor
One of the most rapidly expanding fields of professional and vocational development is that of professional coaching. Despite this expansion, many of those acting as professional coaches do not have the professional credentials to give them the depth of knowledge and practice that is required.
